WHAT A RACE.....................
AFter an aborted start due to a first corner incident involving
7 karts. The race was restarted in a more orderly fashion.
|Giles took and ealry lead but couldn't shake of Jonty or
Ant Bevans. There were many instances of close close racing
and the Black and white warning flag was shown to the front
runners but in never did it get out of hand. As backmarkers
started to play a part, oppertunities arose for chances to
pass and Jonty final managed a pass at about 2/3rd race distance.
A couple of laps later, At and Giles were side by side going
into the 4th corner, As they emerged, Giles span wide and
lost a couple of Seconds leaving Ant with a bit of breathing
room in 2nd and Jonty sitting pretty in 1st.
It was all looking good until the 33 lap, as Jonty passed
the start/finish line to begin his penultimate lap, his kart
spluttered and ground to a halt on the exit of the old hairpin,
gifting the win to Ant Bevans but more importantly, allowing
Giles to top the points chart by vertue of a better run in
the heats.

Bad luck.....of the highest order...............
All in all, it's been a great days racing. We have had to
contend with some dreadful weather conditions but, the meeting
still finished on time and there has been some amazing racing.
Much credit must go to Sean of Subarukart for putting ther
event together and even more credit must go to all of the
drivers concerned who have, as a collective group, once again
demonstated why the SUbaru class just goes from strength to
strenght.
Well done to all concerned.
